Shih-Ching Tsou’s thrilling tale of a mother and her two daughters navigating life amongst the street markets of Taipei made it’s first bow at Cannes, as part of Cannes Critics Week. The film received great reviews out of the festival with a 95% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and took home the Critics’ Week Gan Foundation Award for Distribution. LHG was co-written and edited by Shih-Ching’s long time collaborator Sean Baker.
In other excellent, fantastic news - LHG was quickly scooped up by Netflix for (most of) Worldwide distribution - so keep your eyes on Netflix to check this one out.
